I may be off, but my understanding of Relative Strength over a given time period begins with each security at zero Relative Strength and then changing over the time period. In RRG charts, virtually all securities start at somewhere other than zero. This implies, at least to me, that there is a starting point in the past upon which the RRG charts start.

Does anyone know what the starting point is or am I misunderstanding the principles behind the charts?
