Through his training company, Betagroup, he works with many of the world's leading institutions and professional data vendors teaching practical technical analysis skills. He is a frequent speaker at conferences, is an Associate Editor of The Technical Analyst Magazine, has commented on major financial TV channels and writes 'white label' research for a number of institutions. He is a fund manager and active trader. He is an International Advisor at the Market Technicians Association Foundation working to increase the acceptance and use of technical analysis in academia.

He has been a trader for more than 30 years, first as a floor trader for Merrill Lynch on the London Coffee Exchange. He became a broker and, when the LIFFE exchange opened, moved to trading financial futures and later FX and equities.
Trevor served as a board member of the Society of Technical Analysis in the UK for ten years and was on the board at the time of its formation and the creation of the successful CFTe qualification. He worked in several City firms until 1997 when he had a spell on the LIFFE floor. He then worked for four years as Head of Technical Analysis at Bloomberg. Trevor was born in Scotland in 1954. He was educated at Portora Royal School in Northern Ireland before he joined the City at the age of 18. He has been a trader ever since.
He is an Member of the Society of Technical Analysis and a Member of the Chartered Securities Institute.
